Real life is dark enough. We’re here to lighten the load.

Murderville is a game about killing and chaos, with the goal of helping people to channel their aggression, stress, rage, repression, and inner-anger in a safe and fun way. (The newest science – not the anti-violence game propaganda bullshit that also hated TV and Rock music – suggests that high-intensity gaming can be a form of mood management, helping players process hostility and reduce stress in a controlled environment.) We created the Stabbing Back initiative because while our cards are designed to “kill” in the game, our community is designed to keep people alive in the real world. We don’t do traditional “charity.” We practice Direct Giving. —

Why Direct Giving?

When you purchase a specialty card, your money doesn’t get lost in a corporate “administrative fee” or a marketing budget for a massive non-profit. It goes into a war chest specifically reserved for people in our community who are hitting a breaking point.

  • No Red Tape: We bypass the bureaucracy to provide immediate, tangible support.

  • Total Transparency: Every dollar in our Crisis Intervention and Trauma Recovery funds is tracked and deployed where it matters most.

  • Empowerment Over Dependency: We don’t just hand out checks; we partner with individuals to foster resilience, dignity, and a path forward.

  • We’re straight up paranoid: Face it, a lot (like a lot, a lot) of these charitable and government agencies are scams that keep the funding you give them and distribute what remains how they see fit. Not only do we publish the amount raised, we tell you how it is allocated and how it is used, and when it is used, we publish the story of who it helped and how. It is legit giving for people in a bad situation and you will know exactly how you helped.

Stabbing specific causes:

  • Attack Cards (KL 1 – 5) – Crisis Intervention
  • Defense Cards (L6) – PTSD and Trauma Recovery
  • Specialty Cards (L7 – 10) – Education Funding
  • Intervention Cards (L11) – Drug Addiction Recovery
  • Team-Up Cards – Suicide/Self Harm Prevention

We stash a portion of all the card money from purchases and redistribute it to people who come to us for assistance for emergency care, harm prevention, and mental health education. We want to do our part to combat real-life violence, depression, PTSD, suicide, abuse, and social issues.

The War Chest: Where Your Support Goes

Every card in your armory is a credit toward someone else’s second chance. Here is exactly how we deploy the funds raised by each card tier:
Precisely Timed Poison

Attack Cards (KL 1–5): Crisis Intervention

  • The Mission: Immediate, front-line support for individuals in the middle of a life-altering storm, need to escape a bad situation, or immediate danger that need swift rescue.

  • The Impact: We treat these funds like an emergency rapid-response unit. Life attacks fast, so we hit back by providing the friction-less capital needed for immediate safety. This includes emergency relocation for domestic safety, clearing utility arrears to keep lights on during a health crisis, or providing food and supplies to those suddenly displaced.

  • The Cards: We use attack cards for this because they are the most commonly sold and therefore can most quickly generate enough savings to to act immediately for people who need help.

Defense Cards (L6): PTSD & Trauma Recovery

  • The Mission: Long-term healing for the scars that don’t show up on a physical scan.

  • The Impact: Recovery isn’t a sprint; it’s a siege. These funds are allocated to specialized resources that traditional insurance often ignores: EMDR therapy sessions, trauma-informed coaching, and peer-led support groups. By funding these specific avenues, we help veterans, first responders, and survivors of violence transition from a state of hyper-vigilance to a state of sustainable peace.

  • The Cards: Defense cards seemed to make the most sense here. They are less commonly purchased, but allow us to pay for the ongoing service fees required to help recovery.

Specialty Cards (L7–10): Education & Skill Funding

  • The Mission: Moving from “surviving” to “thriving” through self-reliance and the reclamation of identity.

  • The Impact: The cycle of trauma is often broken by opportunity. We fund the “bridge” between a volatile past and a stable future. This includes covering vocational certification fees and specialized skill training (coding, trades, or arts) for those looking to rebuild their lives after instability. We don’t just want to help people get by; we want to help them get ahead.

  • The Cards: We use Specialty Cards for this because these cards represent the “Expert” tier of the game. Just as these cards require more strategy, rebuilding a life requires specialized tools and higher-level thinking.

Intervention Cards (L11): Drug Addiction Recovery

  • The Mission: Lets face it, drug use to the very often go-to for self medication and often goes hand and hand with these kinds of issues. Breaking the cycle of dependency and reclaiming independence is cruicial.

  • The Impact: Intervention is about interrupting a downward spiral before it hits the bottom. We fund the gap between “wanting help” and “getting help”—a window that is often dangerously small. These funds support sober living deposits, transportation to recovery meetings, and access to outpatient resources that prioritize the individual’s dignity. We focus on community-based recovery models that ensure no one has to fight the “Final Boss” of addiction alone.

  • The Cards: Intervention Cards are designed to disrupt the flow of the game. It is only fitting that the revenue from these cards is used to disrupt the flow of addiction in the real world.

Dont Badger Me

Team-Up Cards: Suicide & Self-Harm Prevention

  • The Mission: Ensuring no one has to play their final hand alone.

  • The Impact: This is our most critical “Zero-Failure” pillar. This fund is dedicated to immediate prevention and the infrastructure of hope. We contribute to 24/7 localized crisis lines and fund Mental Health First Aid training for community leaders to spot the “silent” signs of distress. Our goal is to create a network of “Human Safety Nets”—people trained to intervene before a permanent decision is made for a temporary problem.

  • The Cards: In Murderville, Team-Up Cards are about survival through connection. By using these cards to fund prevention, we reinforce the idea that the only way to win the hardest battles is together.

The Bottom Line: Play for Blood, Give for Life

Murderville was built on the idea that we can embrace the darkness without being consumed by it. When you buy these cards, you aren’t just adding chaos to your game night; you are providing a tactical advantage to someone fighting a real-world battle they didn’t ask for.

We don’t believe in “thoughts and prayers.” We believe in direct, aggressive intervention. Every dollar we raise is a middle finger to the statistics of depression, addiction, and trauma.

You play the hand you’re dealt. We’re here to make sure you have the deck to win.
